হেরে গেছি বলে চলে গেছ
ফিরে, ঘুরে তাকাওনি আর।
পশ্চিমের আকাশে সূর্য ডোবার সময়
মনখারাপ নামে, লাল রঙে
সেজে ওঠে নতুন বউ।
সব শেষেরই বোধহয় দুটো দিক থাকে।
একটা রাস্তা ধরে পথিক হাঁটতে হাঁটতে
চলে যায় অনেকদূর,
ঘরের দরজা বন্ধ করে
আলো আর অন্ধকারের তফাতে থাকে
একটা মোমবাতি।
আর একটা মানুষ
ঘর ছেড়ে বারান্দায় এসে দাঁড়ায়, প্রাণভরে
প্রশ্বাস নেয়, চুমু খাওয়ার আগে
যে দূরত্ব থাকে, ততটা কাছে
জড়িয়ে নেয় আকাশ।
কানের খুব কাছে মুখ নিয়ে গিয়ে বলে –
প্রতিটা হারেরই আসলে দুটো দিক থাকে।
